A total of six Iranian artists have been shortlisted for the Golden Pinwheel International Young Illustrators Competition in Shanghai, China.
The artists made the finalist list include Mehdi Ashari, Mohammad Barrangi, Maryam Hassan-nejad, Najmeh Moradi, Azar Teimuri and Zahra Mohammadnejad are the Iranian finalists, the organizers have announced.
The Selected batch is set to vie with 44 other illustrators coming such as Spain, UK, Chile, and Argentina.
In 2016, Fatemeh Nakhai from Iran won the Grands Prix of the event with a work titled ‘Snake King and Rabbit Princess’
The competition was mounted the Shanghai Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) and winners will be announced November 17.
